DAR Development Inc., a regional commercial real estate brokerage, recently rebranded as DAR Commercial Real Estate.
The name change is meant to reflect the company’s commitment to the commercial real estate brokerage industry and communicates more clearly the services offered by the firm.
“Commercial real estate is an ever-changing and evolving business, and the new name allows us to better emphasize our core business objective by creating branding that clearly states who we are and what we do,” said Dave Denton, vice president of real estate brokerage at DAR Commercial Real Estate.
“Using the term ‘development’ in our name created a misperception in the market that we work exclusively on development or just our own buildings or projects. That’s just not the case.”
Founded by Darrel Herweyer in 1996, DAR Commercial Real Estate has served the commercial real estate needs of West Michigan for nearly 25 years.
“We are a truly independent, full service commercial real estate brokerage company,” Herweyer said. “We have a singular focus on the purchase, sale or lease of all types of commercial properties for our clients.”
While the name of the organization is changing, the team and the services will remain consistent. The team will continue to provide the full range of brokerage services.
“What is not changing is the dedication and level of service that we provide to our clients from local companies to national tenants and landlords,” Herweyer said. “That will always be our constant.”
