Jon attended Calvin College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Minor in Economics. While studying at Calvin, he worked two years as a general manager at Subway. Following graduation, he went to Milford Connecticut to obtain his Subway franchise license to become a franchisee owner in 2010. Owning multiple Subway locations, he went on to expand his business by becoming a Biggby Coffee franchisee owner in 2013. He thoroughly enjoyed looking for new locations and made the decision to sell his franchises and help others in their search for new business opportunities.

In 2018, Jon joined Colliers International | West Michigan immediately following his franchisee ownership in the retail sector. At Colliers, he worked for three years with national and regional clients as an associate on the retail team.

Outside of work, Jon enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters. He is an avid reader who enjoys lending and discussing books from his home collection to friends and family. He also enjoys family walks, running, slalom skiing, and snow skiing.
